Outspan is a gracious and comfortable country hotel located just outside Nyeri town. Framed by the white water of the Chania River, Outspan boasts magnificent views of Mount Kenya and is the nearest hotel to the spectacular Karua Falls in the Aberdares National Park. The 46-acre setting is more than adequate for both work and play with conference facilities as well as numerous activities for the leisure hours. A third of this area is set aside for nature walks along the river. The manicured tropical gardens and colonial style rooms retain the qualities of a historical and well-established property, casting a spell on every visitor. Lord Baden-Powell, founder of the Scouting Movement, was one of those enchanted by the property. He spent the last three years of his life in a cottage here. With a history dating back to the 1920s, your stay is bound to be a memorable experience. Outspan serves as the base hotel for Treetops. Guests check in and have lunch before departing for the tree lodge.
